New Fareham Primary Care Service

A new service for Fareham people seeing urgent same-day GP appointments welcomed its first patients today (Wednesday September 20) as it got off to a ‘smooth’ start.

The Fareham Primary Care Service (FPCS), based at a hub at Fareham Community Hospital, Park Gate, dealt with 60 patient calls in its first three hours after going live at 8am.

Volunteers BBQ

On Tuesday 8 August we organised a BBQ for our Volunteers as a thank you for all

their support. Over 40 Volunteers and their friends attended. The two David's did a

sterling job of cooking the food and greatest of thanks also to all the people who

provided additional food and helped to set up and serve the BBQ.

20 July 2017 - Fareham Health Sumit

Local MP - Suella Fernandes

This public meeting was an opportunity for residents to put their concerns regarding health and social care directly to senior staff of the various organisations responsible. It was open to residents throughout Fareham constituency who would like to find out more.

Many residents have contacted Suella to raise concerns over services in our area, ranging from GP and hospital waiting times, mental health services, the under-utilisation of Fareham Community Hospital and problems with Adult Health & Care.

This meeting was arranged so that those responsible could listen to the public's questions and provide an update on work that is taking place.

Organisations invited include:

• Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust
• University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust
• Fareham Community Hospital
• Fareham & Gosport Clinical Commissioning Group
• Better Local Care
• Hampshire County Council Adult Health & Care
• Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust

The meeting was held at Fareham Community Hospital and entry was free.

8 July 2017 - Warsash Festival

The Warsash Festival took place this year on Saturday 8 July, at 12.30 in the Strawberry Field, Warsash. https://www.facebook.com/Warsash-Festival-1527971854147598/ FFCH ran a stall at the festival and raised £85.50.

29 June 2017 - AGM

The 2017 Annual General Meeting of FFCH was held on Thursday 29 June at 6.30pm at the Hospital in the reception area.

The event included a presentation by Dr Tom Bertram and Kerry Cooper, explaining the CCG's plans for the expansion of services at the hospital and the Same Day Access Hub under the Better Local Care project for Fareham.

FFCH have paid for the central island at FCH to be revitalised and FFCH volunteers have assisted in the planting of the island.

FFCH have purchased a 9 ball exercise ball stand to assist the Physiotherapy Services at FCH to store and retrieve the balls.
