Volunteer
We welcome volunteers of all ages (over 16) and abilities. Volunteering is such a rewarding activity and you'll find us a friendly welcoming bunch. You can give as much or as little of your time as your circumstances allow. If anything below takes your fancy simply complete our online enquiry form and we'll get back to you for a chat.
Gardening Group
We've designed, built and maintain several flower beds and green spaces around the hospital which provide relaxing environments for patients and staff. Our memory group also use the spaces for picnics and outdoor stimulation.
Transport Team
Our transport service is designed to assist people in getting to an appointment at the hospital. Drivers volunteer on an ad-hoc basis at times to suit themselves and are reimbursed for their fuel costs. Coordinators operate on a flexible rota basis, taking bookings from clients and arranging the transport.
Hospitality
Our volunteers provide a regular refreshment service in the hospital and at events and social gatherings.
Memory Group
Our volunteers provide a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment for people with dementia and their carers at the weekly memory group meetings. Volunteers serve refreshments, participate in games and craft activities and also help to organise speakers, parties, picnics and trips throughout the year.
