Suella Braverman MP

During my time as the MP for Fareham, I worked consistently to transform Fareham Community Hospital and sought to introduce more long-term medical treatments so that my constituents had first-class local healthcare services closer to home.

In 2015, I set up the Fareham Community Hospital Taskforce, and over the last nine years, I have led a coordinated approach to deliver real results for the community. This has included same-day access to a GP, increasing the hospital’s usage, a 25-bed renal dialysis unit, and most recently, a 10-station chemotherapy unit. I’m so pleased to see thousands more patients make good use of the excellent facilities at Fareham Community Hospital and I wish to put on record my thanks to all the hard-working staff who do so much for us.

I want to thank the Friends of Fareham Community Hospital, who are integral to the improvement, performance, and continued success of this fantastic community asset. I hope they continue to go from strength to strength!

Alderman Seán Woodward

Alderman Seán Woodward grew up in Warsash and has lived in Sarisbury for many years.  He has always worked in healthcare and was Fareham Borough Councillor for Sarisbury and also the Hampshire County Councillor during a period spanning nearly four decades until 2024, having been Fareham Council Leader for 25 years.  He was instrumental in bringing about the provision of the Fareham Community Hospital after a 25-year campaign and was pleased to be involved in the formation of the Friends of Fareham Community Hospital and then delighted at being invited to become a Patron.  He has supported the Friends over the years and is very grateful to them for the fantastic work they do in supporting patients on their hospital visits.
